SULLIVAN-August 4-Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Frederick B. Siple,Civil war veteran who died on Saturday at his home in Sullivan. The services were conducted in the home with burial in Greenhill cemetery. Members of the G. A.R. escorting the remains to the cemetery.
For years following his service during the war he was employed as a clerk in the Spitler grocery store. Later he was a janitor for the north side school and was a justice of the peace. He was 83 years of age. He had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Guy Conklin. Another daughter survives who lives in Arcola.
