Husband of Alice Virginia Cleaver Davis.

Thomas, who resided at 131 North Washington Street, Milford, Delaware, served as a Private First Class with Company I, 133rd Infantry, 34th Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on June 20, 1942 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being a Sales Clerk and also as being Married.

Thomas was "Killed In Action" in the "Battle of Hill 609" at Djebel Tahent in northwestern Tunisia during the war.

He had served with the Army for nine months at the time of his death and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Service # 32270162

This headstone here at Odd Fellow's is a "Cenotaph" in his honor!

Thomas is interred in the North Africa American Cemetery and Memorial, Carthage, Tunisia.
