She was born October 11, 1937 in Caledonia, the daughter of the late William K. and Elizabeth J. (Newell) Winslow.
In 1983, she married Phillip Taylor of Silver City, N.M., who survives.
She lived all her life in Caledonia until 1983, when she traveled extensively, and most recently lived in New Mexico.
She was a graduate of Weedville High School. She had worked as a Certified Nurses Aide at the St. Marys hospital. She enjoyed the outdoors and outdoor activities, including fishing and ATVs.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Brett and his wife Cindy McCullough of Caledonia; four brothers, Bruce Winslow of Kersey, James and his wife Donna Winslow of Caledonia, Gary Winslow of Benezette, and William and his wife Martha Winslow of Albuquerque, N.M.; and four sisters, Kathy Agosti of Hickory, Rena and her husband Andy Chileski of Byrnedale, Phyllis and her husband Harold Owens of Oberlin, and Janice Hall of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Donna Woodring, and a brother, Walter Winslow.
Funeral services for Garnet E. Taylor will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield with Pastor Ken Sherwood officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday from 6–8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at funeral home.
Interment will take place in Winslow Hill Cemetery, Benezette.
