Mae Elizabeth Green, 88, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Raleigh Center, Beaver following a long illness. Mae was a member of the Antioch Regular Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, canning, going to church, flower gardening and being with her family.

Born September 17, 1925 in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late William "Wid" M. Dixon (1892-1971) and Della Abiner Tilley-Dixon (1893-1983). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Green (1920-Deceased) whom she married on December 28, 1945 in Pineville, Wyoming County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Wyoming County, WV, 1945, Page 280, Application Date: December 22, 1945); three brothers, John Woodrow Dixon (1920-Deceased), Sidney Dixon (1929-2010) and Elvie Dixon (1914-1914); four sisters, Sylvia Jane Dixon-Green (1914-1987), Hazel Dixon-Blankenship (1916-2003), Pauline Dixon-Phillips (1922-2010) and Edna Dixon-Green (1932-Deceased) and a grandchild, Suzanne Nicole Green (Deceased).

Survivors include five sons, Gene Green & wife Mary Ellen Green of Pineville, Ray Green & wife Cora Green of Pineville, Larry Green & wife Evelyn Green of Keyrock, Bobby Green & wife Susan Green of Daniels, and Terry Green & wife Carolyn Green of Keyrock; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Mae's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 2, 2014 in the Calfee Funeral Service Chapel with Elders, Lonnie Mullins, Frank Belcher and Roger Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
