Although the death occurred in Giddings, Lee County, Texas, the place of burial on the death certificate is noted as Grassyville. Given that his grandparents, George A & Sophia Krauter Hempel,and his great-grandfather, Johann Herman Hempel are buried at the Grassyville Cemetery, along with other Hempel family members, it is proposed that George August Richter was buried in an unmarked grave in the Hempel plot at the Grassyville Cemetery. If any evidence is found to refute this proposal, please contact the manager of this memorial.
