Born in Oconee County in he was employed by Aramark working with Clemson University Food Services. He was a member of Return Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Elizabeth Nix of the Seneca, sisters Sharon Adams and husband Sid of Seneca, and Frankie Kelly and husband James of Central, nephew Houston Kelly, niece Casey Lackey and great niece Madison Grace Kelly.
His father Howard Milton Nix precedes him in death.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Monday, April 6, 2009 at Return Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends Sunday, April 5, 2009 from 6-8 pm at the Sandifer Funeral Home in Westminster. The family is at the home 546 Tokeena Rd., Seneca. Flowers are accepted. A message of condolence may be written to the family by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
