Helen Mae (Dabney) Kinnaird, better known to her family and friends as "Punkie", surrendered her life to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at 11:20 a.m..

Helen was a dear saintly mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.

She was born December 25, 1942 in Mason County, WV, the daughter of the late John and Ruth Carroll Dabney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Jean Ebert Powell.

Surviving are two daughters and their spouses; Sandi and Tom Fisher of Gallipolis Ferry, WV, and Kristi Weekley-Cooley and Paul Cooley of Barboursville, WV; one son and his spouse, John and Melissa Kinnaird of Gallipolis Ferry, WV.

She will be greatly missed by four grandchildren, Ruthie Fisher-Billings, Andrew Fisher, Brandon Kinnaird, and Kaleb Weekley; and four great-grandchildren, Khloie and Kylie Billings, Kennedy and Keaton Fisher.

She is also survived by a sister, Susie (and David) Cassell; two brothers, Jim (and Vanda) Dabney, and Charlie (and Carol Ann) Dabney; and a special cousin, Helen Poffenbarger Williamson.

Helen was a kind and loving Christian woman, greatly loved and admired by all who knew her. She attended New Hope Bible Baptist Church. She served as a pianist for many years at various churches throughout Mason County.

She also faithfully served in the Mason County School System as a school secretary for 35 years.

Now Helen can say with a blessed assurance, "I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Wilcoxen Funeral Home in Point Pleasant, WV. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 11 a.m., at Wilcoxen Funeral Home, with Pastor Dean Warner officiating. Viewing will also be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Beale Cemetery in Apple Grove, WV.
