CATAWBA -- Mr. Dennis Wayne Bishop, 51, of 649 White Pines Drive died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at home. The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Catawba Baptist Church, with Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. A native of York County, Mr. Bishop was a son of Roy Franklin Bishop and Margie Jean Winn Bishop of Rock Hill. He was a supervisor for Georgia Pacific and was a member of Catawba Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his parents is his wife, Sue G. Bishop; two stepsons, David A. Ross of Concord, N.C., and Nicholas A. Huneycutt of Rock Hill; his stepdaughter, Christy M. Abernethy of Hickory, N.C.; two brothers, Michael A. Bishop of Rock Hill and Larry E. Bishop of Catawba; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 tonight at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel. Memorials may be made to Catawba Baptist Church, 2639 Catawba Church Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
