Funeral services for Mrs. Belle P. Yancey, 82, who died at her residence, 251 Roy St., Saturday, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the graveside in Fr. Hill Cemetery . All Ellis will officiate.
Mrs. Yancey, the widow of Abe. W. Yancey, was born in Cherokee, Ala., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Piper and had lived in Macon for 35 years. She was a member of the Rebecca Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Gus Yancey, Macon and Eugene Yancey, Covingston; a daughter, grandchildren, three great grandchildren; two brothers, Gabe Piper and Bobb Lee Piper, both of Eastman, two sisters, Mrs. Octave Moss, Social Circle, and Mrs. Deland Thompson, Eastman.
Hart's Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangement.
