Roger Eugene Brown, 53, of Harriman, passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2004, at his home. Born Nov. 23, 1950, in Anderson County, Mr. Brown was the son of John Wayne Brown and Lillian Idell McKamey Brown.

He has resided in Tennessee for most of his life and was an excavating engineer who retired after a thirty-year career.

He was a member of Poplar Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Glenn Haney.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife of 36 years, Helen June Haney Brown; his sons, Roger E. Brown II of Oliver Springs and Tammy Denise Brown of Oak Ridge, Vernon Mack Brown and wife, Samantha, of Harriman, Daryl Eddie Brown and fiancée, Tiffany L. Vickery, both of Clinton; his grandchildren, Tyler Roze Brown, Aaron Joseph Brown, and Lyllianne Izabella Brown; and his step-grandchildren, Alyssa Beck-Brown and Alexis Beck-Brown.

In addition, Mr. Brown is survived by his brother, Gary Wade Brown and wife, Loraine, of Oliver Springs; his sister, Annelle Tarrant and husband, Pitt, of Knoxville; his mother-in-law, Louise Haney of Clinton; his brother-in-law, Roy Haney of Ohio; his sister-in-law, Betty Nelson and husband, Sam, of Clinton; and his former daughter-in-law, Keila B. Brown of Oliver Springs.

The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2004, in the chapel of Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Robert Combs and the Rev. Garvin Walls officiating.

A graveside service will be at noon Thursday, Nov. 18, at Anderson Memorial Gardens on Oliver Springs Highway.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
