Lance K. Miller, 39, a four-year resident of Cody, died at the University of Washington in Seattle on Aug. 21, 2005, after a brief illness.

He was born Nov. 1, 1965, in Anchorage, Alaska. He moved to Cody from Sandpoint, Idaho, and worked at Granny's restaurant as a cook.

Mr. Miller enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and hiking.

He is survived by his fiancee Susan Cornwall of Cody, mother Jerri Weiss of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, sister Marilyn Miller of Cody, uncle Randy Weiss of Hayden Lake, Idaho, aunt Charlene Nelson of Hayden Lake, uncle James Miller of Seattle and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Miller of Wallace, Idaho.

Graveside internment was Aug. 24 at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens.
