ANDERSON-Gilda. On February 15, 2002. Wife of the late playwright Maxwell Anderson, sister of Hilda Galley. Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Formerly of Stamford, CT, she died peacefully at her home in Manhattan. A wise and devoted wife and mother, Gilda, after a life in the theater, founded the Maxwell Anderson Playwright Series (MAPS) to support and encourage the works of new and promising playwrights.
