Josephine Kozina, 76, of Waukegan, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee, WI. She was born February 10, 1931 in North Chicago, IL.

She married Frank Kozina May 31, 1958 in North Chicago.

Josephine had worked 15 years for Vascoloy Ramet in Waukegan and also at National Press, The Globe Dept. Store and Waukegan and North Chicago Transit Co.

She enjoyed dancing (polkas, line dancing and jitterbugging). She was a member of K.S.K.J. St. Joes , American Croatian Tamburitzans, AARP, Greater North Chicago Senior Citizens Club and the Catholic Women's Club.

She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Kozina of Brookfield, WI; sisters, Anna Urh of North Chicago, IL, Rose (Glen) Reinhardt of Libertyville, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1999; parents, Mary and Joseph Krpan; and sister, Katherine Ward.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 7, 2007 from 5-8 pm at the Salata-Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee and on Saturday from 9-10 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, with service to follow at 10 am. Interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery.

Donations may be made in her memory to Ruth Hospice, 8526 W. Mill Road, Milwaukee, WI 53225.
