Esther L. Giles,78, died at 7:20 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3, 1997, at Blu-Fountain Manor in Godfrey. She was a member of St.
Mary's Catholic Church of Alton.
Born March 8, 1918, in Bland, Mo., she was the daughter
of the late Henry and Lula (Sanson) Lambert. She married Henry W. Giles in Alton Nov. 20,1934. He survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Barbara Brown of Godfrey; a grandson, Richard Brown of Texas; and a sister, Minnie Reynolds of Alton.
Preceding her in death were seven brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gent Funeral
Home in Alton, with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
