C.O. (Chet) Miller
Services for C.O. (Chet) Miller, 69, of 4716 Albion, who died Sunday evening in a Boise hospital after a short illness, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Wright Community Church by the Rev. Stacy Richards. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn.
Mr. Miller was born March 25, 1899, in Langford, Kan., and moved with his parents to Boise in 1903, settling in the Franklin Bench area. He was one of the first six graduates of Franklin High School in 1917 and later served as president of the PTA and for nine years was chairman of the school board. He married Faye Studley in Boise on March 3, 1924.
He was a member of Wright Community Congregational Church, served on the board of deacons and was superintendent of rebuilding the church twice when fires destroyed the structure. He also was a member of the Boise Lodge No. 2, AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Don H. Miller, Manila, The Philippines; a sister, Mrs. Amy Wheeler, Ten Mile; a brother, Henry W. Miller, Boise; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James L. Palmer, Ben Uhrig, Gayle McAtee, Charles Young, Stanley Curtis and Alex Jacobson.
The family suggests memorials to the Wright Community Church Memorial Fund.
Friends may call until noon Thursday at Cloverdale Funeral Home.
