F.R.S.E., Civil Engineer. For 50 years he was Engineer to the Board of Northern Lighthouses. He designed and executed the Bell Rock Lighthouse and other public works in the UK.
Robert was the son of Allan Stevenson 1752-1774 (Partner in West India Trading House), who m.1771 Jean Lillie, Memorial #74712713. She was later the wife of Thomas Smith, Memorial #74712712 (1st Engineer to Northern Lighthouse Board)
