PONTOTOC - Barbara Abbott, 64, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2007, at the Pontotoc Hospital. She was born and reared in Pontotoc County. She was employed by the Personal Care Home in Ecru. She was a faithful member of Westside Church of God of Prophecy.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Westside Church of God of Prophecy on Hwy. 341 at Pontotoc. Bro. Wayne Thorn will officiate. Burial will be in Springville Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include two brothers, O.L. Abbott Jr. and W.L. "Dub" Abbott (Ann); eight nieces and nephews; three great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mable Carter Abbott, and her father, Ocie L. Abbott.
Visitation will be at the church from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
