Viola Elizabeth, daughter of Hilda H. (Eckert) and Henry R. Reutlinger was born on September 24, 1916 north of Freedom, Oklahoma. She passed away at the Alva Share Medical Center on October 6, 2010 at the age of 94 years, and 12 days.
She attended the Freedom School system and graduated with the class of 1935.
Miss Reutlinger was married to Orvin Leo "Mack" McAlister. Following their marriage they lived in San Diego, California. Mack passed away April 3, 1985.
Viola was married to Stan Marquette in 1989 and they made their home in San Diego, California. Stan passed away in 1993.
In 1998 she moved from San Diego, California to The Homestead in Alva. Viola lived in Woodward at Providence Place for two years before returning to Alva in March of 2010.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Naomi Faye Allen; her parents; two sisters, Emma Meddles and Alice Seivert; three brothers, Bill, George and Theodore.
Viola is survived by a son in law, Leland Allen; two granddaughters and their husbands, Nancy and Richard Baker and Susan and Bruce Whitehead; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
