James Wyatt Ruff, 76, of Brewers Mill Road, Elberton, husband of Janet Rosser Ruff, passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Athens Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Ruff was born in Elbert County on January 27, 1938, to Martin C. and Victorine Jones Ruff. He was a retired diamond salesman in the granite industry and was a member of Goss Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Janet Rosser Ruff of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Christi Ruff of Elberton; grandsons: Cameron Wyatt Ruff and John Channing Ruff; sisters: Peggy Greenway and Theresa Albertson, all of Elberton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Charles Ruff, Albert "Shorty" Ruff, Wallace Ruff, Elizabeth Fortson, and Barbara Barger.

Memorial services celebrating his life will be held on Monday, June 2, at 6:30p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
