He was born near Lewisville, Ohio on May 23, 1933 a son of the late Clinton and Clara Bell Feiber Gray.
He was a retired truck driver for Kobacker Stores, Inc., Columbus, Ohio; a former school bus driver for the Switzerland of Ohio Local School District and a former driver for the Monroe County Public Transportation. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Alonzo John Gray and one brother-in-law, Virgil Shaw.
Surviving are his wife, Glenyce Standiford Gray whom he married on March 11, 1972; one daughter: Mary Ann (Harold) Wilson of Moundsville, West Virginia; two sons: Wayne (Connie) Gray of Ft. Branch, Indiana and David Gray of Proctor, West Virginia; one step-daughter: Donna (Robin) Grams of Boyne City, Michigan; one sister, Maxine Shaw of Sardis, Ohio; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two step grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2008 where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 with Pastor Mark Deneen officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery, Lewisville, Ohio.
