The Genealogical Society of New Jersey's transcript for the First Baptist Church Cemetery, however, gives his birth date as 8 Apr. 1776 and his age at death as 93 years, 10 months & 29 days.
Ege also states (on p. 233) that "After the death of his first wife John Humphrey, Jr., removed to central New York, taking several of his younger children with him. By a second marriage he had a family of children. He died in 1870 aged 93, and his body was brought to Hopewell and interred in the old cemetery."
