Sylvia Esther Sweeney, 101, Bethany, (formerly of Blythedale and Hatfield, MO) passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014.
She was born December 1, 1912 in Harrison County, Missouri the daughter of Samuel T. and Eva D. (Kinder) Johnston.
Sylvia married George Kyle Sweeney. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1967. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Everett and Oran Johnston; sisters, Lottie Snead and Lola Johnston and daughter, Sharon Gaylene Stuart.
Survivors include a son, a daughter, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial will be 3:30 p.m. Monday, June 2 at the Payne Cemetery, Hatfield, MO under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany, MO. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Payne Cemetery and/or Lone Rock church in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO 64424.
