Diana Morton Hodges, 62 of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday May 31, 2014 at Quinn Hospice Center. Diana was preceded by her parents Cyrus and Clara Freshwater Morton and her husband, James B. "Jay" Hodges. She was a retired Teachers Assistant with Onslow county Schools and past President of North Carolina Association of Teachers Assistants. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Surviving are her two sons, James B. Hodges II of Jacksonville and Frederick C. Hodges of Chicago, IL. Three brothers, Chuck Morton and wife Kim, Steve Morton and Mickey Morton and wife Janet all of Jacksonville. Also surviving is her Grandchildren, Nathan Mathis and Jessica Hodges of Jacksonville. The family will receive friends before the funeral service from 12:00 noon to 12:45 PM at Jones Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
