Dennis was born on December 28, 1948 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Edwin and Mary Morgan.
Dennis was married to Stephanie Gillespie Morgan at West Palm Beach, Florida, September 4, 1971.
Dennis loved many hobbies and interests, including spending time with family, studying the Bible, cooking, and marksmanship.
Dennis was also an ocean engineer who did underwater inspections of bridges, pipelines, dams and piers and owned and operated Innerspace Ventures Inc, from 1982 – 1998, an underwater inspection and diving company.
Dennis was a member of the United Church of God, and past district commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America.
In 1998, Dennis had a fall at work and suffered a broken neck and had a spinal cord injury resulting in paralysis from the chest down. He developed a close reliance and dependence on God after this injury. He lived a life of service and love for others. A quote the family found inspired us, "In our final days, we will be examined by our love." Dennis inspired many people with this attitude of perseverance despite tremendous challenges. His motto was, "Don't ever give up!"
Dennis is pre-deceased by son, Ryan Patrick Morgan; mother, Mary M. Morgan; and father, Edwin Buford Morgan.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2, at 1:00 PM, at Greenacres Memorial Park, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale.
