Ruth D. Anderson, 89 years, of Holland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 16, 2006, at Hospice of Toledo. Ruth was born to Clarence and Bessie (Pohlman) Palm on July 22, 1916, in Swanton, Ohio. She married Kenneth E. Anderson on June 18, 1937, in Toledo, Ohio and he preceded her in death on December 11, 1996. Ruth was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She worked alongside her husband in their family owned business of Anderson Plumbing in the Reynolds Corners Community.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy A. Anderson, Marilyn F. (George) Scherff, Pat L. (Fred) Hummel, and son, Kenneth L. (Peggy) Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson; sisters, Lois Warrick and Lenna Figmaka. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Clarence "Red" and Howard Palm.
Friends and family will be received in the Neville Funeral Home Reynolds Corners Chapel, 5052 Dorr St., Toledo, (419-535-0951) from 2-9 p.m., Wednesday, January 18, 2006. Visitation will continue on Thursday, January 19, 2006, from 9-10 a.m. at the Epiphany Lutheran Church, Toledo, where services will follow at 10 a.m. with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Epiphany Lutheran Church Choir Bell Fund or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
