Lucille K. Money, 85, of Eau Claire, died Monday, January 16, 2006, at her home.

She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on October 3, 1920, the daughter of Gilbert A. and Martha (Oelstrom) Kurtz. She graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1938.

Lucille married George H. Money Jr. on October 18, 1941, in Wauwatosa, Wis. They lived in Oconomowoc until moving to Barron in 1970. They were 30-year residents of Barron, where they owned and operated the Barron Motel from 1970 until 1982. They moved to Eau Claire in 2001, where they have been residents at Real Life Co-op apartments.

Lucille’s hobbies included a variety of art and handwork. She had recently completed her 96th sweater for World Wide Relief.

Lucille is survived by her husband, George; daughter, Marilyn (Jon) Halstead of Madison; son, Daniel (Bonalyn Barker) Money of Chetek; two grandsons, Edward Halstead and Peter Money; a niece; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harvey and Raymond Kurtz.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2006, at Real Life Co-op, 4115 Jeffers Road, Eau Claire. Burial will be in Forest Home Cemetery, Milwaukee, Wis.

Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral and Cremation Services assisted the family.
