PINE PLAINS — Flora Hill, 90, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014, at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon.
She was born on Nov. 4, 1923, in Pine Plains, the daughter of the late May (Pectal) and Joseph Houle.
Mrs. Hill was an assembler for Schatz Federal Bearing Company in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. On Oct. 20, 1946, in Pine Plains, she married Floyd R. Hill. He predeceased her on April 17, 2008.
Mrs. Hill loved to read, cook, work in her garden and travel to Schroon Lake to their cabin.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathy Hill, of Craryville, N.Y.; two sons, Richard Hill and his wife Marguerite of Pine Plains and Douglas Hill of Copake; four grandchildren, Michael Hill and Daniel, Jeffrey and Thomas Mosher.
She was predeceased by three sisters and one brother.
Calling hours were held May 28 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, Pine Plains.
A funeral service was held on May 28 at the funeral home with Pastor Gregg Higgins officiating.
Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.
