Jan E. Johnson, age 77, passed from this life on May 14, 2014 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice House in Kennewick, Washington. Jan was born in Foreman, Arkansas on November 21, 1936 as the youngest of nine siblings to parents Faye and Homer Darby.

She went to elementary and high school in Foreman, Arkansas, graduating from high school in 1955.

On June 27, 1958, Jan married William (Bill) H. Johnson and they were married for 55 years at the time of her passing.

In 1972, Bill and Jan moved to Kennewick, Washington were Jan was an active member of the Kennewick Church of Christ.

Jan was a loving and devoted wife and mother who loved life and loved to laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a joyful and comforting spirit.

Jan is survived by husband Bill, son James and granddaughter Rachael; sister Bobbie Mehawk; sisters-in-law Martha (Jim) Dugas and Kathy (Gary) Fischer and many nieces and nephews.

Jan will be deeply missed until those of us who love her in the Lord are reunited with her on that Day.

Jan's life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 24, 2014, 12 p.m., at Kennewick Church of Christ, 3926 W. Kennewick Ave., Kennewick. Interment took place on May 17, 2014 at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Kennewick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mountain States Children's Home, P.O. Box 1097, Longmont, CO 80502-9912.
