Gerald "Jerry" Ruetz, 81, of Hot Springs Village passed away May 24, 2014.
He was born August 22, 1932 in Racine, Wisconsin to Clarence and Ione Ruetz.
Jerry was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in the metal plating industry for many years – first as Secretary/Treasurer of Shephard Plating Company, then as Sales Representative for Racine Plating Company. He loved playing golf and all activities with his family. Jerry spent his life taking care of his family, caring for those in need and always putting others first.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Rev. James C. Ruetz, Dr. Philip L. Ruetz and Roland Ruetz; and sister, Ellen Even.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Jocelyn "Joyce" Ruetz of Hot Springs Village; daughter, Jane (Jack) Wilson of Wisconsin, Brenda James of Texas and Susan Ruetz of Arizona; brother, Russell Ruetz (Anne) of Wisconsin; sister-in-law, Dolores Ruetz of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Melissa Porter (Joshua), David James and Allison James; and great grandchild, Caleb Porter.
Funeral mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31st at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.
