Cynthia May Lewis McDaniel Casey was the daughter of Jack and Maria Lewis. She married her first husband, Frederick L. McDaniel on Nov. 28, 1878 in Montgomery County, Virginia. They produced six children together, two of whom survived into adulthood.1 They were:
1. Mays Laconia McDaniel Buckner (born abt. 1880, died 1973).
2. Charles McDaniel (born abt. 1898, died unknown).
