Mr. Conner worked as an Electrician for Abrams Electric and also at one point was the Superintendent for the Lane Tuck Construction Company. He had been in contracting for 25 years prior to his disability. Larry was the Past Commander of the Cammack American Legion Post # 327. He had been a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 1016 of Muncie. Mr. Conner enjoyed shooting, cars, music and taking care of others.
Larry was a special influence in his great nephew, Cayden Ice's life. He was known to be a jack of all trades. Mr. Conner took exceptional care of his parents and was always giving of himself for the underdog.
Survivors include his parents, Virgil and Floy "Billie" Conner, Muncie; one son, Travis Conner, Muncie; one brother, Gary Conner (wife-Toni), Gaston; one niece, Jennifer Thorpe-Ice (fiance'-Brad Murray), Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Paul Matherly officiating. Entombment will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Military honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Sunday, June 1, 2014, 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday and again on Monday, June 2, 2014, from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
Following visitation at the mortuary a celebration of Larry Conner's life will be held at Cammack Legion #327 in Cammack from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The first two will be on Larry.
