Jimmy Erwin Slaughter, age 79, of Crandall, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Slaughter was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Glenda Weber Slaughter; parents, John E. & Martha Ella Jones Slaughter.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Garrett Slaughter; 3 sons, Breck Allen Slaughter of Crandall, David Erwin Slaughter of Eton and Joel Lee King of Dalton; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Erica Slaughter, Georgia and Ella King.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Slaughter will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm, at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Darey Kittle officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, form 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675
