ABBOTT - Forrest W., 83, of Louisville passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was born May 27, 1930 in Sligo, KY, the son of George and Mary Elizabeth Abbott. Forrest retired from GE after 35 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, and was also a member of the New Castle Masonic Lodge #189. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Nancy C. Abbott; his son, Wayne Abbott (Debbie); grandchildren, Brian, Christopher, Jonathan and Catherine Abbott; a nephew, Tim Wyatt; a niece, Elaine Faulkner; and an aunt, Ethel Robertson. He was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Foree and Frances Curl Wyatt. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Road. Burial will follow at Middletown Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of customary expressions, donations may be given to The New Castle Masonic Lodge, c/o Rodney Davidson, P.O. Box 1027, Crestwood, KY 40014.
