WALNUT COVE, NC ~ Dianna Bell Hayden Lawson, 63, of Overby Road, Walnut Cove,
died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at Village Care of King.

She was born April 12, 1942, in Stokes County to the late Moir Elmer and
Virginia Evelyn Frye Hayden.

She was a member of Quaker Gap Baptist Church and had been employed by Kaba Ilco
Corp. in Winston-Salem.

Surviving are her husband, Harry Lee Lawson; a daughter, Angela Lawson, and
friend Billy York of Walnut Cove; a son, Garry Lawson, and wife Pam of Myrtle
Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren, Randall Lawson, Charlie Boyd and Caitlin and
Cassidy Rhodes; three sisters, Norma Jean Hansley of Winston-Salem, Doris Mae
Sommers of Walnut Cove and Judy Norman of Germanton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Slate
Funeral Home in King, with the Rev. Gerald Jones and the Rev. Jerry Manuel
officiating. Burial will follow in Quaker Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening, Aug. 16, at the
funeral home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Village Care
of King for the kindness they have shown.
