Lee Wilson Perkins -- Born October 29, 1912, a native of Sunflower, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL for many years passed away January 12, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents Amanda and Oscar Perkins, Sr., 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a devoted member of the Truevine Baptist Church where he served as a deacon until his death. He had a father and son relationship with Pastor Howard Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lena Mae Reid Perkins. He also leaves his son Jerome Perkins; devoted niece and caregiver, Ann Fluker; one sister-in-law, Emma J. Reid; four nieces, Carolyn Tezino, Marilyn Reid, Janice Reid, and Tracey Williams; one nephew, Henry Reid; great niece, Karen Hall; devoted first cousin, Frank Perkins; and devoted friends, Deacon Charlie V. Shade, Torry Kidd; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2006 at Truevine Baptist Church from 10 AM until the 12 Noon funeral hour with Pastor Howard Johnson officiating.
