LEAH RUTH MARTIN, 79, of Middletown, Md., went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at her home. Born Feb. 17, 1935, in Frederick County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence Kline Brandenburg.
Leah was a member of the Locust Valley First Church of God. She loved gardening, her church and sewing.
Leah was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur E. Martin.
She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Reinig, Sykesville, Md., Mark Martin, Knoxville, Md., Brenda Sandusky, Hagerstown, Charles Martin, Hagerstown, Wanda Payne, Sharpsburg, Md., Tina Bailey, Middletown; three sisters, Grace Garver, Carol Norris and Virginia Axline; two brothers, Harold Brandenburg and Charles Brandenburg; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Leah was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Brandenburg; and her grandson, Wilbur Martin.
Services were held at Minnich Funeral Home, Hagerstown; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
