Leslie was born on April 4, 1935, in Sebeka, the son of Edward and Lydia (Woullet) Wesala. He grew up and attended school in Sebeka. Leslie was employed as a shovel operator for J & L Steel-McKinley, from where he retired after more than 30 years of employment. He was united in marriage to Joyce Carol Hanson, and following her death, he married Lola Forsberg.
Leslie was an avid clocksmith and temporarily contracted with Scheiderman's setting up their clocks. He also enjoyed walking his dog, Mikko.
Leslie had a generous and humorous nature, always willing to help others.
Leslie is survived by his sons: Alvin Wesala, and Craig Forsberg; a sister, Ilona (Joe) White; a brother, Gary Wesala; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his two wives, Joyce and Lola; two sisters, Janice and Karen; three brothers, Harlan, Laurice, Arnie.
