JEFFERSON -- Misty Dawn Erwin, 20, was found dead March 25, 1998, at Jefferson from injuries received in a shooting.

She was born May 23, 1977, at Dumas, Arkansas, a daughter of Douglas Randall and Lula Bell Paul Erwin of Star City, Arkansas. She was a 1996 graduate of Star City High School and a member of Old Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her grand-
parents Francis Paul, Sr., and Johnny and Loins Erwin.

Other survivors include three sisters, Tabitha Lynn Bunting and Francis Michelle Erwin, both of Traverse City, Michigan, and Margo Mae Erwin of Star City; and grandmother Mae Paul of Star City.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Buie Funeral Home of Rison with Richard Burton officiating. Buriai will be in Macedonia Cemetery near Rison.

Misty's boyfriend at that time, Clay King Smith, was executed on May 8, 2001, for the murders at his home near Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
