Joy Lavon Brady Stewart, passed away May 26, 2014, in Provo, Utah at the age of 79, following complications of surgery.

She was born to Warren L. And Catherine Cambron Brady on Oct. 18, 1934.

She married Lloyd A. Stewart April 22, 1952; later solemnized in the Manti Temple Sept. 8, 2000. They enjoyed traveling and loved their "snowbird" life and friends in the winter.

She retired from her job at Terrel's in Mt. Pleasant in 2011 to serve a mission at the Family History Library at LDS Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City.

Lavon loved to stay busy and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, sisters and friends. She loved politics and volunteered many hours supporting her favorite political party, making sure the election polls were ran correctly! She served on the Fairview City Beautification Committee, was a member of the Red Hat Society, and current Laicos club president. She especially enjoyed spending her Wednesdays working in the Manti Temple.

She is survived by her children Jackie and David Gustin; Wayne and Sandy Stewart, and Stacie Kimberley; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; sisters Madge Ford, Fredonia, Ariz; Marilyn and Ross Fillerup, St. George; brother Michael Christensen, Spring City, many adored nieces, nephews and countless friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Catherine Camille Stewart; brother, LaGrand Brady.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31 at 1:00 pm in the Fairview LDS 1st Ward Chapel (red brick church). Viewings will be held Friday, May 30 from 6-8 pm Rasmussen Mortuary and Saturday, May 31 from 11:30 – 12:30 prior to services at the church.

Interment in the Fairview City Cemetery.
