Milner was born on 18 Oct 1888 in Alba, Wood Co., TX. He married Lura TAYLOR CAIN BLACKBURN on Jan. 8, 1927, in Sweetwater, TX. Together they had four sons; Doyle, Marlin Taylor, James Farley and Max Waylan CAIN. The family lived in Seagraves for number of years before he died there in 1943.

Lura re-married and moved to Perryton. She married Walter Blackburn in 1960 in Perryton. Walter died in 1968.

As of 9 Oct 1999, survivors include two sons, Doyle Cain of Mineola and Max Waylan Cain of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren among others.
