Dies at about 7-8 kilometers north of Opoczno, Poland on 10 September of 1939 (approximately 14:15 p.m.), when his official car was ambushed by Polish soldiers armed with heavy machine guns, being subsequently wounded in the head. A street in Prague, Czechoslovakia occupied was named in her honor until 1945.
