ELKHART, Ind. -Joann Schrock, 65, of Elkhart, Ind., formerly of Wayland, died July 17, 1997, at the Greecroft Nursing Center, Goshen, Ind.
Services will be hold Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, Wayland, with the Revs, Roger Farmer and Ruben Chupp officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Creek Cemetery.
Visitation begins Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the church. The family will be present Saturday from 7-9 p.m. at the church. There will be no visitation at Beatty Funeral Home, Wayland, which is in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established with Peoria North Mennonite Church or Gideons International.
Joann Schrock was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Beemer, Neb. She married John D. Schrock on Aug. 14, 1965, in Castleton, N.D. Before moving to Elkhart from Wayland, she was a member of the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. She then transferred her membership to the Prairie Street Mennonite Church of Elkhart.
Survivors include: two daughters, Anna Holt, Elkhart, Ind., Pamela Todd, Berne, Ind.; one son, John L. Schrock, Peoria, Ill.,;four grandchildren; her mother, Mary Ann Erb, Castleton, N.D.; sever sisters, Donna McKelvey, Castelton, N.D., Ruby VanAmburg, Fargo, N.D., Dorothy Kinsley, Amenia, N.D., Lola Rosenberger, Hartley, Mary Wendorf, Irvine, Calif., Arlene Erb, Portland, Ore., Linda Erb, Minneapolis, MN.; and one brother, Paul Erb, Amenia, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband in 1987.
