Funeral services for J. Homer Deakyne, 43, formerly of this city, who died Thursday at his home at Cambridge, Mass., will be held from the Chandler Funeral Home, Delaware Avenue and Jefferson Street, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. F, Raymond Baker, pastor of Second Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Mr. Deakyne is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grayce Laurie Deakyne; his mother, Mrs. Margaret S. Deakyne; two brothers, Leslie H., of Arlington, N. J., and William S., this city, and a sister, Mrs. Belle Deakyne.
A World War veteran, Mr. Deakyne afterwards served with the U. S. Navy for several years. He was a former member of Second Baptist Church and Oriental Lodge, A. F. and A. M.
