Bonnie Sue Jenkins age 65 of Florence passed away on Thursday May 29, 2014. Visitation will be Saturday evening May 31, from 5:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at Elkins Funeral Home of Florence. Services will be Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Florence Blvd Church of Christ at 2:00 P.M. with Bill Bagents, Chris Kemp and Tim Grigsby officiating. Burial will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents; J.D. and Zula Liles.
She is survived by her husband Bobby Jenkins. Two sons; Jeff Jenkins (Tricia) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida and Chad Jenkins (Maggie) of Florence. Three grandchildren; Ben, Owen and Eli Jenkins.
Bonnie has been a member since February 1987 of Florence Blvd Church of Christ and was active in the teaching program having taught many years with Gisele Rudder. She was a avid supporter of the Lads to leaders program attending the convention in Nashville for many years.
She enjoyed going to ball games for her children (Jeff and Chad). Spending time with her three grandchildren (Ben, Owen and Eli). Enjoyed Florida with her family and very much enjoyed going to Hawaii.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Mike Mitchell, Alacare Home Health and the Hospice Nurses; Donna, Lauren, Jill, Suzann, Violetta, Tanya and Shannon.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Eledge, Jeff Futrell, John Bagents, james Mabe, Gabriel Pozo and Harrison Chastain.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Holderfield, Charles Hester, Mike Rudder, John Lawson, Dale Kennedy, Randy Lee, Norman Canerday, Jessie Grigsby, Gary Gandy, Gene Gooch, Dale Boren, Quenton Hogan, Jimmy Black, Reeder Kimbrough, Grady Smith, Mark Willingham, Marty James and Todd Chastain (who will be leading the songs for the service)
