Mrs. Sara Ruth Hodges Boatright, age 98, of Tennille died Thursday night, May 29, 2014 in Warrenton Nursing Home following an extended illness. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, June 1st, in the Zeta Cemetery in Tennille. The Reverend Roy Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Boatright was a native of Wilkinson County. She was the daughter of the late Huel Alex Hodges and the late Annie Lou Hodges and she lived in Tennille for many years. Mrs. Boatright was the wife of the late Harvey Voss Boatright. She was a retired teacher having taught in the Wrens High School. She was a member of the Tennille Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Hodges and two sisters, Frances H. Englert and Thelma H. Chapman.

Survivors are her two sons, Michael Glenn Boatright of Oconee and Robert Daniel Boatright and his wife Cindy of Millen; three grandchildren, Daniel Boatright, Adam Boatright and Sherri Boatright; six great-grandchildren, Marlena Preston, D. J. Preston, Adam Boatright, Jr., Paisley Boatright, Jacob Boatright and Katlyn Boatright.

The family will receive friends at May and Smith Funeral Home in Sandersville from 11:00 A.M. until 12 Noon on Sunday.
