Jennie Estelle Madden was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut - the fourth child of George Henry Madden and Jessie Ella Lyon in 1888. She was adored by her parents and very close to her siblings.
In a letter from her father it was said: "No mother ever loved a daughter more than she did her Jennie."
She attended the Washington Park Methodist Church in East Bridgeport and attended school until the 8th grade. She was employed as a clerk at Smith - Murray Co. in Bridgeport which was a ladies clothing store.
She met her husband Ralph Alonzo Daniell around 1908 and they were married on 25 January 1910 in New York City. After her marriage, she was a homemaker supporting her husband and her household. They owned their first home in Bridgeport, before purchasing their property in Trumbull at 315 Churchill Road in the 1930's.
She always wanted to be a mother but she tragically lost all 12 of her children as they were either stillborn, miscarriages or died shortly after they were born.
She nevertheless showered her affections on all her nieces and nephews and made sure they were all taken care of and even spoiled.
In the Winters, she was a "snow bird" and spent her time living in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and returned to Trumbull in the Spring.
She is remembered for her warmth, love and caring nature by all who were fortunate to have known her and her influence is still felt to this day.
