Age 58 years, five months and 26 days, a resident of Sikeston formerly of East Prairie, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2014 at 8:45 am in the Missouri Delta Medical Center.
Born December 2, 1955 in East Prairie to the late LeRoy Wade Hawkins and Katie Mae Barger Hawkins, Cynthia lived most of her life in Mississippi and Scott Counties where she was a retired Bookkeeper for Health Facilities Rehab in Sikeston.
She married Perry Hutcheson of East Prairie in 1974 to this marriage was two sons, Donald & Amanda Hutcheson of Chaffee and Lee & Jammie Hutcheson of Papillion, Nebraska; in 1997 she married Billy Thornton who survives of Sikeston; two brothers, Charles Hawkins of Sikeston and Mike Hawkins of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Carlotta Watson of Murray, Kentucky, Annette Nichols of Sikeston, Claudetta Keen of Matthews and Becky Bramlett of Rockford, Illinois; her step-mother, Alice Hawkins of East Prairie; seven grandchildren, Kobe Hutcheson, Kylie Hutcheson, Natalia Hutcheson, Anaston Hutcheson, Darian Hutcheson, Connor Hutcheson and Katelynn Hutcheson; and a host of relatives and many friends.
Friends may call after 6 pm Friday at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie where funeral services will be conducted at 10 am Saturday May 31, 2014 in the Shelby Chapel with Bro. David Ross officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery with Shelby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
