Floya Eva Lawson, daughter of the late Jasper L. Lawson and Lucy Ann Lawson, was born Mar. 12, 1904, at Powell, where she had spent her entire life. She passed away Feb. 27, 1956, at the Cardwell Hospital in Stella, at the age of 51 years, 11 months and 14 days.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Oma Corner of Stella, Mo., Mrs. Dora Dewitt of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Ethel Eggleston of Joplin, Mo.; two brothers, Delbert Lawson of Tulsa, Okla., and Floyd Lawson of Crane, Mo.; nine nieces; three nephews; one aunt, Mrs. Mary Fox of Diamond, Mo., and a host of other relatives and friends and will be sadly missed by all.
She enjoyed very much the visits and nice cards from her many friends and neighbors which helped very much to lighten the last weeks of her illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon Feb. 29, at the Union Church by Rev. Robert Cooper of Granby. Burial was made in the Union Cemetery under direction of the Pogue Funeral Home.
