Sindy Lucas Taylor, 55, of Prince George, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Jack Ward Lucas Sr. and Geraldine Byrum Lucas. Sindy was a phlebotomist for Virginia Blood Services and was a former member of the Dinwiddie Rescue Squad having served as an E.M.T. and the Colonial Heights Karate Association. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert J. Taylor; children, Tina E. Wilson of Colonial Heights, Daniel Spencer Wilson of Richmond and Angela Leigh Wilson of Chester; five grandchildren; brothers, Jack Ward Lucas Jr. of Dinwiddie and Martin W. Lucas of South Carolina; and a sister, Tracy Lucas Crafton of South Carolina. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Colonial Heights Chapel of the E. Alvin Small Funeral Homes and Crematory 2033 Boulevard. Interment will be at Southlawn Memorial Park with the Reverend Mark A. Houser officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, June 3, 2011 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O.
