Motion Picture Director. French-born motion picture and television director and writer. Co-directed the Marx Brothers' first feature film "The Cocoanuts" (1929). Also noted for his work as director on The Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock Presents episodes. Knighted into the French Legion of Honor in 1950.
